A blog for visitors to goa from a couple who call it home.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM YOU?
RESEARCHED ADVICE. We’re trying to write the articles we wish we had found. Travel forums are great, but we spend loads of time on them and still never know how trustworthy the information is.
UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION. One of the frustrations of the web is not knowing what is still relevant . Of course we might forget, but our aim is to keep content updated here.
WE DON’T SELL TOURIST SERVICES. We are not in the business of commercial tourism.
AND WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?
We’re just an ordinary British couple who fell in love with Goa and decided to live there. We’re based in Benaulim, South Goa.
Tebbie was born and raised in Mumbai. Her father is Goan and she has family in North Goa. She loves to travel and has lived and worked all around the world. She speaks some Konkani.
What she likes about Goa is …. their sausages, mangoes and fish straight from the sea.
What she does not like is… the midday sun and crowded buses.
David was born and reared in Lincolnshire, but as soon as he was out of short pants he was off to London to become a rock legend. He did a few other things there like a BSc.;degree and became a civil servant for 14 years, but it was all very rock ‘n’ roll. Now, back in short pants, he earns a few shillings tinkering on the web.
What he likes about Goa is… the people, eating outside and not wearing socks.
What he does not like is… mosquitoes (for making him put his socks on again) power cuts and fly-tippers.
